Antique Uzbek Lakai tribal embroidered felt rug of large size.
Size: 10ft 0inx 5ft 9in (305 x 174m).
Circa 1900.
This is a scarce example of an Uzbek Lakai tribal felt floor rug embroidered with classic Lakai designs. The rug is made up of narrow strips of thick felt which have been embroidered and then stitched together. The central panel has three medallions, this is surrounded by four borders each in a different design.
The rug is in excellent condition with slight signs of use, it is backed with the original linen / cotton backing.
