Mid-20th century Anatolian small Tree kilim, 3'2" x 4'6". Robust yellow gold Tree with 5 pairs of geometrically stylized leaves, each containing 5 smaller leaf forms, on a deep crimson field. Broad ivory borders carry a repeat of a single motif, 12 at lower end, 8 and 9 at sides, and an abbreviated version at top, asymmetrically colored. Small variations in the field suggest that there were 2 weavers side by side. Condition very good; small reweave at upper left corner and various minor repairs mostly to yellow and brown areas.
