Antique Caucasian Talish long rug with a narrow red field. Circa 1880. Size: 7ft 5in x 3ft 2in (225 x 97cm). This is a pleasing example of a Talish long rug, it has a classic Talish design and mid blue ground rosette border. The narrow central panel is in a clear red with a fine diamond lattice design; note the single central diamond in blue. The rug is in good condition with even wear and medium / low pile, the wool is soft and the weave is fine. There are a few scattered old repairs. Hand washed and ready for use or display, the rug is suitable for light domestic use.. Stock Number: mt-046.
