a rare and visually dazzling Antique Turkoman / Turkmen Ersari tribe silk embroidered pillow dating to late 19th century. It is a fully silk embroidered, very likely a dowry piece. The design is really attractive with archaic Turkoman motifs of double boteh / bird in flight as the dominant pattern. The rich colours magnifies the design and is finished with polychrome tassels. a brilliant example and rare to find such functional ceremonial dowry textiles, especially a pillow from the Ersari group.
