Antique Uzbek Lakai tribal ceremonial horse / saddle cover. Size: 4ft 4inx 4ft 1in (131 x 124m) excluding tassels. Circa 1920. This beautiful embroidered horse / saddle cover was made by the Lakai tribe of Uzbekistan, it was used on special occasions such as weddings. The hand-woven camel hair field is covered in silk floss tambour embroidery with classic Lakai designs.
