antique senneh senna RUG Antique Senneh / Senna rug. Early 20th century. Beautiful colors, which are probably natural. Village production. Wool pile, cotton foundation. Clean(washed by hand) and ready to use. Very good condition for its age. Full pile with a few moth bites in a line near one end. Unfortunately, someone decided to dye paint the moth bites. It doesn't show on the front, but the dye has run on the back. I'm not sure why these bites were “painted” because they do not really show unless you get down on the floor and look across the pile. Original kilim on one end, other end with kilim with warp fringe. Needs a little bit of attention to the selvages. See the photographs, which were taken outdoors without a flash on a cloudy day.
