Jaf Kurd bagface. Originally the piled face of one half of a double saddlebag (khorjin). Across the bottom is a piled panel (with chevron design) where the bottom fold of the bag was, plus a small section of brocaded flatweave that was part of the back. Has thick meaty pile overall. Closure panels across top have extra-weft designs, and the edges of these small panels, next to the closure slots, are reinforced with colorful binding, some of which is now worn. Sides are intact except for some wear where the fold was at the lower two corners. Bright natural colors., including a great emerald green. The inner border has some distinct abrash (from rosy pink to red and back again), but this seems not to be the result of a faded dye---this color on the back is the same as the front, no evidence of bleeding dye. Width 21 inches (53 cm) and length 30 inches (76 cm). $200 plus shipping
