Very long antique Reyhanli kilim from Eastern Anatolia. Older than most with a very good color range and saturation including a great ox-blood maroon, two greens two oranges, at least three blues, madder red, cochineal and yellow. White is cotton but some wool as well. The superiority of color, fineness of weave and drawing suggest that this is an older piece than most of the type. There is scattered areas of old faded repair and the piece is cut and (mostly)shut but based on the long length i can't imagine that there is much missing.
