Museum quality large Middle Atlas flatweave. It has a date of 1931 embroidered at one end, in what looks like warp wool [see photo], not a modern addition. Another clue to age are the small sequins and shiny silk used to decorate it, which you can see in the close-up. Neither has been available for many years. The rug has wide design bands and plain bands in red, gray, rust and black. You can see those colors and the intricate designs in the close-up. It is in excellent condition and measures about 6' x 12'8" (183 x 386 cm) and costs $4800. Refer to piece 9.0554d
