Laos - Katu Loincloth. Cotton with supplementay weft and white glass beading woven into the fabric. This piece dates from the early 1950’s. It was woven upon the birth of the former owner who is pictured holding the cloth. The owner was in his mid 50’s when the piece was collected 5 years ago. Size: 4.72 meters long x 32cm wide.
