Antique large caucasian carpet fragment. Older afshan or blossum carpet type design with nice red kufic border. All vibrant natural colors. Mostly good even low pile. Small damaged area as shown, scattered small creases, brown corrosion. Full width but no ends. Wool warps, cotton wefts. i see no repairs. Appears clean. 1/2 the rug but 3/4 the fun at 1/5 the cost. ca. 1875 or earlier. 5'11" x 6'5"
