Semi-antique moroccan Amazigh (berber) woven kilim tent cushion
Beautiful example which has detailed handwoven tribal designs on both sides of the cushion.
Colours: White, black, burgundy, orange, green and brown.
Material: Wool and cotton
Size: 39cm x 66cm (approx – this is handmade so not perfectly square – see photos)
Age: Semi-Antique; 50 - 80 years old (estimated 1930's).
Due to the age there is a small amount of wear at one end, (see photos), but the main part of the kilim is in excellent condition on both sides. The small hole near the opening could be repaired with an able hand if you wanted to use this as a cushion. It would also be possible to unpick the stitching along each of the long sides to create one large wall hanging.
