a female Tibetan Chuba (Female Robe), made from Chinese damask brocade silk in dark brown color, all hand sewn. Brocade motifs comprise of phoenixes floating among the scroll of clouds, with spray of decorative metallic threads supplementary work in different auspicious symbols. Inside lined with blue plain cotton cloth. Circa early 20th century. Good condition with one tiny color fade spot and small torn spot outside. The lining inside have quite a big stain spot as seen in the picture. Provenance: Central Tibet. Measurement: 55 cm across armpits and 120 cm long.
