An interesting small Muhajir prayer kilim with çiçim embroidered burdock motifs and minimalist tree of life - bowl? motif in the prayer niche and striped kilim ends. This unusual kilim with some characteristics of Manastir kilims, is the work of a Bulgarian Muhajir immigrant living in western Anatolia. Any information on possible attributions are welcome to help with research into this particular and individual type of kilim. Wool on a wool warp. About 60 years old. 130 x 74cm exl tassels.
