moroccan berber high atlas rug. This rare old piece is from the Berbers in the Djebel Siroua which lies between the High and Anti Atlas. Occasionally it is possible to find rugs with portrayals of animals such as lions, camels, horses and even turtoises and serpents, all of which play a part in Berber mythology.
