Hi, my name is John Fogg and i am not a rug person— except for my love of & for them. I'm posting here to sell this carpet.
From my (minimal) knowledge i believe it is "Anatolian." i have seen pictures on-line of similar carpets in size (33.5 x 60.0 and look) that have me "think" it was made in the 1800's (i.e.; 19th century).
I believe it is in quite good condition (there's no wear, but i don't know how "thick" it should be) and as long as i have had it (almost 20 years) it has seen neither shoes nor direct sun.
Anyway, my knowing more about it is exhausted. Sorry < smile >
Thanks for making the time to look.
I appreciate you.
— John
PS. The price is what i paid for the rug 20 years ago.
price:
$2350.00 U$
