Baluch rug; last q 19th.c.; 107x172cm (3`6" x 5`8"); Azadi names this type "Maadan" (plate 35 & 36) because of its corner design and the "Goat-Run" border. This is the oldes piece i had in hand from this type of rug,not to compare to the ones arround 1900. Piece is knotted very carefully, see animal-border, each animal has an eye same as "swans" have in mainfield-motiv; eyes color is green, also red is extremly nice, i saw this typ of luscious red seldom in Baluch; condition is ok, sides are orginal, bottom is still some flat weave, top not much from it, pile need to be fixed.
