Baluch with stary field on an ochre ground. Looks like it should be symmetrically knotted but it is asymmetric open left. Beautiful spacing and placing of ornament. Traces of striped kilim on both ends. The sides and ends have been sewn and stabilized. Now for the bad news: There is some obvious wear and what looks like cat-pull damage in the field. There is also some minor use of fuchsine in the centers of two stars. Nonetheless, a quality antique Baluchi weaving probably from the 1880s. (size is 5'3"x3'5" / 160x105cm)
