See better full picture within! a simply beautiful, very fine and early Jaff bag face. Elegantly drawn and nicely proportioned with a large midnight blue border containing floating stars. Deep saturated colors and spongy pile. It has a rare outer guard border more in keeping with early Baluch bags. There is a two headed animal symbol in the middle of the top border which can be seen better from the back (see picture). Great relief in many of the border rosettes and in the outer guard border. There is a patch from an old rug that had been added to the top left corner and the top right hand corner has had old repair to the edge. Truly early pieces like this are not easy to find. It measures 20 x 22 inches.
