Very good and interesting tampan-ceremonial textile- from Indonesia (Lampung-Sumatra), 19th century, size 68 x 76 cm/ 27 x 31 inches. a boat with a large bird and tree of life with on top a frog or toad (rare!). Several other stylized animals. Condition good for the age with nearly undamaged edges, tiny rough area in the centre and tiny restored tear. Scattered some tiny stains as usual on this textiles, not distracting from the image.
