Uzbek Tent door Surround 19th Century 8ft 3ins x 5ft 8ins Pristine Condition Fine to very fine silk and metallic thread chain stitching (several types) in this unique textile. It consists of five sections woven together with each section unique in colors, designs, and quality of skilled needlework probably attributed to various family members working individually on sections. There are at least nine colored silk variences and at least four colors of metallic threads. Approximately 50% of this textile is in chain metallic threads. Based on the quality of this textile, it is my opinion it was made for a high ranking official or dignitary and used only for that event. It has no repairs and no structural damage.
