Central Asian Applique Band, red felt-like textile attached to a an old Russian trade cloth attached with indigo dyed cotton binding. Either a belt or perhaps a collar from a garment. Certainly antique, it may have been made in the late 19th century by a Turkmen group such as the Yomut. 142x12cm / 4'8"x5"
