Transplendently Colorful Early Northwest Persian Kurdish Fragment. Saturated and radiant yellows, green, purples, blues on an ivory ground. Fantastic wool and handle. Old! How old you ask? Old enough. Not Devonian old but old enough to be very collectible and desirable, even in this condition. Yes, the condition is very unfortunate but perhaps some will find it romantic? The fragment works as a great composition in and of itself except maybe for the very bottom portion which looks like it was chomped by a shark.
