Here is a beautifull old Kirgiz embroidered belt. Measureing
30" long and 3" wide this belt is embroidered in at least a
dozen different colors, black, white, beige, yellow, orange,
red, burgandy, purple, taupe, grey, blue/green and natural
camel (natural camel hair is used as the outer border all
around the belt). This piece is so intracite and fine that it
had to have been done by a woman with great skill and
artistic talent. This is one of the most beautifull belts i have
ever found. The colors are rich and are all derived from natural
dyes. From the quality and fine design coupled with the older
dye colors used i would date this belt to between the 3rd. and
4th. quarter of the 19th. century. i am showing the belt with a
pair of arm bands or cuffs (not sure which) that came with the
belt. i am selling the bands seperately.
price shown is for the belt only.
