Here is a beautiful Turkoman Talisman (worn to ward off evil). My first photo shows the true colors far better than the others. Measuring 5 1/2" wide by 8 1/4" from top to the end of the tassels. a deep rich crimson that is probably Lac, vibrant green, a touch of yellow, orange and white, purple used in the border stripes. The piece is in near mint condition. Late 19th./early 20th. century - not sure which Turkoman tribe to attribute it to, Yomud? perhaps Ersari? possibly Chodor. In any case a sweet piece very reasonably priced.
