18th century Central Anatolian Konya / Cappadocia long rug. Large woolly knots on a coarse foundation consisting of goat hair, un-dyed and yellow wool. 3 bold Memling guls on a peach ground with characteristically great Anatolian colors. Some of the original yellow selvedge is still present. There is some obvious wear and a few tears but largely a complete piece. (2.64 x 1.17 meter)
