Ohenro-gi, Pilgrim's coat from the Shikoku Island 88 Temple Pilgrimage Route The coat dates to the first half of the twentieth century, more than likely from the 20s or 30s. The white, unbleached cotton is heavy and hand woven; there is a wonderful proponderance of stamps all over the jacket, front and back, each of which was gained at each of the temples visited on the pilgrimage. The pilgrim's name is some written on the interior of the coat's collar. The dimensions are 93 cm x 127 cm.
