Old Kurdish bagface with a good design, fair condition and an excellent range of saturated colors. a particularly well drawn example of this design. The ivory medallion surrounded by a rich green border and beautiful aubergine panels at both ends. Fine elem panel with very brilliantly colored memling guls. Pile varies from some fair medium length to mostly low in center with a few very small spots of very low to no pile at all with foundation exposed. a couple of tiny holes or almost holes. Edges all a little rough, unraveling.. Some original selvage, some rewrapping. Selling "as found", reasonably clean. All first class natural colors. Good age,1880 or earlier weaving. 25" x 30"
