The three suns shine, the timid stars glow. This is a magnificent tribal art example of the Qashqai, Darreshuri tribe, Fars region, Southern Iran. a definitely great, beautiful, rare kilim/gelim, cm 155x320. Over 100/120 years old. Fantastic natural colors: a powerful yellow, a deep aubergine, a soft red, typical of the Qashqai.... a fantastic combination output. Imho it's a wonderful "painting" in between Van Gogh, Mondrian, Delaunay...... Main photo shows the kilim after a good wash and a professional restoration of a few points that needed minor caring. The shade below left is....a shade...not a stain. Photo 2 & 3 shot before caring. If interested please email me: carlokocman@gmail.com
