Beautiful Caucasian, Karabagh? sumack mafrash side panel. Cm 40x98 ca. Datable to the 3rd or 4th quarter of the 19th century. Main pattern with complete cruciform motif alternated with opposite halve ones. Lovely tribal primitive hexagons with hooks top and bottom. Great, saturated dyes. Lots of embroidered "s" shaped motifs, a talisman, but also symbol of long life, prosperity, protection etc. a very sweet piece.
