Mogan Shahsavan Memling gul Sumack Mafrash panel fragment. Cm 47x81. Datable mid 19th century, if not earlier. Great pattern, great colors. Imho this a really great, great piece. It has aura, character that goes beyond the wonderful colors, the archaic pattern, the beautiful spacing, harmony, etc. It's a real star, ..a crab shaped star! Cut, resewn, still doing its important etnographic, tribal, decorative job. I'm not certain, but it could be much older than i state above.
