Eastern Anatolia Diwan carpet fragment. Most probably Kagizman. Cm 90x115 ca. Second half 19th century. Best natural dyes. The apricot is simply incredible. Almost all over full pile. The colors are simply stunning. a wonderful, fantastic, crazy eye candy. It's one 3rd of a divan rug used as back of the sofa. Really a special piece. Last pic shows a similar rug sold in an Austrian auction.
