Beautiful & rare Malatya Sinanli bag face. Cm 70x70 ca. Late 19th or early 20h c. Flatweave, great natural saturated colors, like the deep, super cochineal and a fantastic petrol blue indigo. White is cotton. The Sinanli tribe was part of the bigger Reshwani group. Great graphics! Pattern with 12 white main medallions and 3 blue and 3 red side medallions, actually the ceiling of the nomads: the sky! Here and there we find crosses. Some say because the weavers were Armenians. Any other intrepretation? Such beautiful bags are rare, really not easy to find. In good condition.
