Sinanli Malatya kilim strip. Cm 90x415. The Sinanli were a subtribe of the bigger and better known Reshwani group. They were great weavers and dyers. - Second half 19th c. Wool, cotton and metal thread. White is cotton. Cochineal red and different blues. Ram horn pattern. Great character, great aura. Beaten, with holes, tears, but complete. Could well stay in a museum or on the wall of your sitting room.
