Fantastic Julkhyr rug with a primitive look from the first half of the 20th century. It is woven with few knots, long hair and soft, shiny wool. An exceptional piece of contemporary aesthetics. The Julykhyrs, also called julkhir (Uzbek), whose literal translation is bear skin, is a type of shaggy carpet made by the Kyrgyz and Uzbek weavers, usually with long hair, intended to serve as a sleeping rug. The wool is soft sheep´s wool. It is woven in four narrow strips and joined together. In good condition with the original fringes and natural dyes.
