Azerbaijan. About 110 km northeast of Baku is the village od Khizy or Xizi that gives the name to these wonderful sumack textiles. There are not many of such bags available since most are in the hands of both eastern and western collectors. Size is cm 44x46. Datable to the 4th quarter of the 19th century. Some fuchsine are traceable here and there and confirms dating. This bag is in mint condition. i had it for such a long time that cannot remember where/what/how I've got it. a real beauty. #azerbaijan
