This is a Moghan Shahsavan Sumack mafrash side or long panel. Size is cm 45x100 ca. Datable 100 to 120 years. The Shahsavan love to use the moharamat pattern, in stripes, in different variations. Here in this Moghan Shahsavan mafrash panel we have diagonal moharamat pattern which are rare on mafrash. Within the stripes see the “s” shapes surrounded by narrow borders with very simplified variations of dragon motif. The “s” motif has always been the symbol of long life, prosperity, well being, etc..
