The Strip. The size is remarkable: cm 77x390. a long one, the tent must have been important.
Nomads were using to weave one or two strips according to their needs. One strip was used as back of the sofa area and also to cover the storage bags in a row inside the tent. See the enclosed photo regarding the reconstruction of inside.
When they have woven two strips on their narrow travel looms it was to use them mainly on the floor. So, if you find one strip it does not mean that there is a second one.
This is a special one, with incredible natural deeply saturated colors, a very interesting pattern, ....cotton, color inlets here and there...get a good look at it...... Approx age should be something between 1880/1900. Attribution: it could well be a Reyhanli tribal group product from somewhere in the Konya region. But any other suggestion is welcome.
