What the hell is this?......asked a friend collector. Frankly would not know exactly. It's heraldic? Iconic? a message? Imho should be from Azerbaijan, Baku area. Shirwan? Xizi probably? Let's stick to what we see: it seems to be a khorjin/bag face. Size is cm 33x35. Age could be late 19th, early 20th century. Flatweave and sumack. No doubt it's rare, very rare.
