The three suns shine, the timid stars glow. This is a magnificent example of the tribal art of the Qashqai in those for ever lost glory days, in the region of Fars, Iran. Qashqai group, Darreshuri tribe. A definitely great kilim/gelim, cm 155x320. At least 100 to 120 years of age. Fantastic natural colors: a powerful yellow, a deep kind of aubergine, a soft red, typical of Qashqai.... a fantastic combination output. Right now undergoing to minor professional caring in Istanbul. Will be ready to be shipped within a week or so. Imho it's a wonderful "painting" in between Van Gogh, Mondrian, Delaunay......
