Shirwan Lesghi Rug.
Seven Stars Tribal Jewel.
Size is cm 100x130.
Approx age is end of the 19th, early 20th century, but could well be older.

Small, but extremely beautiful and powerful rug, with seven Lesghi stars floating on a madder red field filled with colorful flowers, good luck symbols and diamonds.
Two important main borders and two small indigo blue walls seem to protect the stars.
The beautiful, vivid colors are all natural, deeply saturated.
The weaving is very fine and tight.
In good condition.
