a very rare Shirwan rug with pomegranate trees of life in the main indigo blue field and the palmettes in the inner madder red border.
Pomegranate has always been a symbol of fertility and life energy.
Extremely fine weaving.
Fantastic natural saturated colors.
Sides and ends have been taken care of professionally. Few line ends missing on end, otherwise in very good condition.
