Madrasa old porcelain inkwells Such inkwells were used in the madrasas or Koranic schools in Mauritania and Morocco and were most probably made in Fes, the porcelain center in Morocco. Size is cm 6x9x12 each. These inkwells were bought in a lost village in the Mauritania desert about 50 or so years ago by an Italian traveler. They popped up during a moving. Vintage? Old? Antique?
