Back
Qashqai collectors' wonder.
This is imho a very rare and beautiful Qashqai Gabbeh khorjin.
Cm 50x125 ca. Datable back to the 4th quarter of the 19th century.
The rarity is first of all in the fact that we have here a Gabbeh pattern. Beautiful, very intriguing, with lots of more or less hidden symbols/messages, with a high, shiny pile. Complete and in very good condition.
The two bag faces have differences, but both have this very interesting Gul that could be a life representation surrounded with diamonds.
Man & woman? Ying & yang?
Colors are deeply saturated and look fantastic. The low profile back has some camel hair. Not to miss.
