The "Paradise" of the Afshar.
Afshar rug from the Sirjan area, Iran.
Size is cm 120x170 ca.
Datable 1870 by all those who saw/know it.
Awesome pattern with over 500 stars and flowers in the centerfield.
Magnificent saturated natural colors.
Rare, antique, beautiful.
It needs some caring due to 3 minor points that will have to be restored.
Not rotten, not cracking, no stains. no painting.....
This rug is extremely beautiful and worth caring.
i would have kept it and sold in the right time, but the restorer i normally use had a health problem and went back home, to Turkey.
