Turkmen yurt "storm band”. Fyi some say it could be Uzbek.
Cm 480x14.
Could well be end of the 19th century.
In mint conditions.
Never seen one before with the talisman.
Antique, museum worth, colorful, beautiful and in very good condition.
As far as i know such length bands were used in the yurts to keep down the center felt that covered the opening for the smoke.
This one is heavily decorated, with long tassels and has a great talismanic decoration near one of the ends.
Found and bought about fifty years ago in Northern Pakistan.
