Craig Diamond

Southern Mindanao, Philippines is home to a variety of indigenous peoples who create some of the most beautiful textiles in the world. Among the various groups, the Tboli stand out. For countless generations, the Tboli have dyed and woven abaca fibers into their sacred cloth known as Tnalak. Along with this unique and beautiful textile, the traditional clothing worn by the Tboli people is rich with embroidered colors, patterns and adornments. My collecting and research focus remains rooted with these special people.
