David Sorgato
David Sorgato acquired sound experience and knowledge in the carpet field during his youth, thanks also to family tradition and to his studies at the Brera Academy of Art. In 1991 he opened the Michail Gallery in Milan and in September 1999 he moved to the new larger space of via S. Orsola, where he deals in a wide range of carpets with the emphasis on the 19th century. He also deals in rare and antique carpets and tapestries and collaborates with his mother, Louise Michail, an expert in lslamic Art. Besides organising monographic exhibitions at his Gallery, David Sorgato is a regular exhibitor at the milanese as well as international antiques fairs. From 2005, David was elected as part of the Sindacato Provinciale Mercanti d'Arte Antica of Milan.
